These stories always bring to mind the 'slaughter of the innocents' by King Herod. I can't help but believe that Christ is also reminded and that these children have a special place in His Heart. After all, those who were killed in the Bible story were the only ones who ever died in His place.

The Tax-The-Rich Fairy Tale

This must be the same Ed Asner that was the head of the Screen Actors Guild in the 1970s? Out of GREED, he took SAG out on strike and television had to live without them. Almost immediately, reality shows were introduced; I think Real People was the first. Many people were commenting at the time that they didn't mis SAG. Most of us believed that actors were overpaid to do a job where someone else had to tell them what to say. He would have followed Ronald Reagan by about 20 years, but Ronnie grew up and got smart. Maybe there is hope for Ed?

Taxifornia Lessons

This is too complicated for liberals to understand. We need to explain this in second grade language. The only free cheese is in the mousetrap. Money from the government isn't exactly free; somebody will have to pay it back because the government gave you something that the government did not have. Someday our granchildren will hate all the liberals who have been stealing from them since before I was born. Hope they don't hate us too.

Time to Stop the Debt Charade

We need to explain that the national debt is a real debt that has to be repaid someday. Too many believe that we can just print more money because it is only paper. Really. Perhaps we have spoken too long in accounting terms that many Americans don't understand? What will we tell our Granchildren when they are working hard and doing without because the bonds are coming due?
Cadidate Obama sold himself as the 'great uniter', but turned out to be Obama the Hatemonger. He has demonized and stereotyped the minority rich people until he is chasing them out of the Country. How can he expect to fix the economy without their money and talent? He is not the post racism President but the Reverse Racism President.

I agree Fritz. Who would believe that Wal-Mart could get 10% more money by raising prices 10%? Raising taxes 10% will not raise revenue 10% either. Obama's grade school arithmetic will not correctly analyze the economy and will never predict the outcome of his ideas. We do need to shout it from the roof tops; anybody should be able to understand this.

It's Obama's Math that Doesn't Add Up

Well put Donald and a very important column. Obama's grade school arithmetic makes the math turn out right, but not in the real world. It is more complicated than that. You can't raise taxes by 10% and get 10% more revenue, any more than Wal-Mart could raise prices 10% and get 10% more money. Changes in taxpayer and buyer behavior need to be factored in. Almost anybody ought to be able to understand that. Oversimplification is deception (lying).

Is Middle East Peace a Mirage?

Plutoniium is more reactive than U-235 so must be separated into smaller parts so it does not begin to fizzle too early. The implosion mechanism is necessary to assemble a critical mass almost in an instant. The point is that Iran doesn't need to do an underground test before using their weapon.

The Middle East could be heading for a Cold War redux. That is frightning but we have been living in a state of holocaust eve for 60 years. The encouraging statistic is that it never did happen.

Hamas is well known for digging tunnels; there are miles of tunnels under their southern border between Gaza and Egypt. Both Tel Aviv and Jerusalem are about 45 miles. Iran is spending thier nations wealth to build a U-235 bomb with no conventional delivery system. Do you suppose that tunnels are that? Remember in WWII we used a Uranium bomb in war after only testing the Plutonium device. I hope someone else is thinking of this. A-bombs under Israel would quickly result in H-bombs over Muslims and Mecca would be in great danger.
