Actually, I seriously doubt that even 2% of them are medically necessary. Seem to recall a quote from Bernard Nathanson to the effect that he had -never- seen an abortion that was necessary to save the mother's life, and he claimed to have performed 60,000 of them prior to his Christian conversion. Can't source it, though, & don't have time to research right now since this is my (short) lunch break :-)

Nikkofly's post was satire, not intended to be taken at face value.
Michael is right: modern-day America is not a theocracy, and should not be. We are not to enact the same *judicial* code as ancient Israel and stone people to death for adultery, but we are to govern our individual and corporate lives by the same *moral* code. That's why the Mosaic Code was preserved for us in the Scriptures: to teach us God's perspective on our sins. So clearly, He takes adultery very seriously, and as a result, we should view it with the same disgust -- rather than romanticizing and excusing it. (Bridges of Madison County, Terms of Endearment, et al.)
If you're a piano player, just try to play transcripts of some of his stuff. He had enormous hands. Sure, Dave, my left hand can stretch from a C up to the G more than an OCTAVE and a HALF above ... ! No problem at all!! I listened to my vinyl "Dave Brubeck's Greatest Hits" as a teenager until it was practically worn through. (Find it on listen dot grooveshark dot com.) Beautiful music, happy memories. Thanks Dave.

We have to be careful about taking the commands that Christ give to individuals and applying them to governments instead, though. He did not command governments to help the poor: He commanded this of individuals.

You forgot to mention the most important thing: it's all George W. Bush's fault. (Including the Crusades.)

yep. big time.
"I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you." -- Genesis 12:3 Notice that this promise did not come with an expiry date.
We the people do -- in theory. Unfortunately, qui tacet consentire.
The literal French phrase means, "What is it that this is?". Fortunately we have it a lot easier in English -- "what's that?" In French, of course, they also have shorter versions such as "c'est quoi, ca?" ("that is what, that?"). Yes, I grew up in Canada :-)
