My point is, reading her quotes brings to mind Dred Scott. Did he not rely in part, on his bias and the cultural ethos of the day for decision making? Go back and read Sotomayer’s quotes with the Plessy v. Ferguson decision in mind… Could Scott not posit the same reasoning as Sotomayor for his decision? It is the unmoored moral relativism of men that change from one generation to the next, which Sotomayor bases her decisions…and which Scott did his. If you think for a second that she wouldn’t sanction the use of official force to bring you and I around to her “enlightened” POV, then you really do need to revisit the history books...and are blind to current events. And then find an older Japanese-American and pose the question.

Ms. Sotomayor would allow the federal government to round up all the whites for forced re-education, if she thought doing so would bring us closer to her "enlightened" vision of utopia. The woman, like the lawless statist that appointed her, is a menace and threat to our civil society.
