Return to pre-World War II days, wherein only the children of the upper middle class and the children of the wealthy were able to go to college .... and a college degree was mandatory for any white collar job. No thanks. Maybe Germany's system is right? College is 100 percent subsidized by the government; however, to enroll, the student is required to pass admittance exams. Additionally, they have an active apprenticeship program for blue collar trade employment, also 100 percent subsidized by the government.
