In Daniel 2:20 we read that God "removes kings and establishes kings." He has raised President Obama to power, and He has done it for our judgment. We have the leadership that we deserve.

George, I agree that Daniel 2:20 means that God removes and establishes kings, but I don't think you can prove that in the case of the American election He has "done it for our judgment." God has not said plainly what His motives are, though we surely ought to trust Him that He does have them and that they are just.
I also question whether you should say "we have the leadership that we deserve." A lot of folk are going to suffer (and those now suffering will continue to suffer) the consequences of the President's bad policies, and few of them deserve it. Christians should be praying for wisdom as to how to help all the needy people who are going to be hurting and bitterly so during this bleak future period. Peace, Larry

I have received messages of concern for our nation’s future. As you know, we have been diligent in praying for God’s will to be done and the decision has been made. That does not mean we stop praying. No matter how you feel about the leadership of our country, they are our leaders and we must pray for them.
