Where are our Christian leaders? Why are they not speaking out? Christians are being beheaded by the rebels and all we hear about is the gas attack and it is not even clear who did that. Who will speak for the Christian victims?

As always the Pope has asked everyone to play nice in the sandbox. That was the church's stand when Hitler was not playing nice with the Jews as well. I guess I prefer the days when the Jesuits were the Pope's army and they actually had some influence in the world.

why is it so important to be called a Christian, does that mean you are of greater value than those who are not,why is a religious label suppose to make you something special,it doesn't,it how you live your life and do you keep Yahweh's commandments that counts,Christianity does not obey God,and has no right to the tree of life in revelation 22:14 read it and see.----Jim Hunt

It doesn't make us special, it means we are to hold ourselves to a higher standard. It means that we are to put God and His will first, and subjugate our own. On the contrary, being a "Christian" can make your life a little more difficult with the hope of pleasing God and the glory that comes with that. Do we succeed at this? Not so much......but good Christians will keep trying.

Does subjugating yourself really please God?

But "pleasing God" is never clearly defined.

I agree. Not that long ago in American history, people such as James Dobson, Gary Bauer, Allan Keyes, D James Kennedy, Pat Robertson, etc... would speak out whenever something like this would occur.

The churches seem to be largely apathetic these days and more like social clubs. In their defense, though, it's clear that the left has been trying to undermine faith and family, and has been using the power of government more and more to achieve their twisted goals. The church has been under attack for some time and has sadly, retreated rather than defended sacred ground. God help us.

Obama has been winning the war on Christianity for the last 5 years... with the complicity of the media and the pop culture.

How so? When these church's accepted the rules of 501c3 they accepted the right of the federal government to call the shots. Once you take the drug of federal money or tax exceptions, you are beholdin.

anonymous: bingo! you got that right. seems you are the only one here who gets it.

"annfan" didn't even try to give an intelligent reply, just dropped an ad hominem and left.

Your religious leaders are a Joke they are mier Hireling nothing more, they don't tell you the truth because there is no light in them because they never speak of the law and the Testimony, which you must obey and you must have before entering in to the Kingdom of Yahweh,do you keep his Commandments.---jim hunt
rhunt Wrote: Sep 06, 2013 10:58 AM
that is not to say we are saved by the law,we are saved by Grace through faith, not by works, keeping his Commandments is for our sanctification(means holiness to be set apart)without which we can never see God and live in his sight and have no access to him and be called least in the Kingdom of Yahweh Matthew 5:19.---Jim Hunt

Actually there is nothing in the regulations of a 501(c)3 that says the pastors, ministers, priests can not speak out against the government....nothing. The only requirement is that candidates can not "campaign" from the pulpit. But that never stopped Democrats before, and shouldn't stop anyone now. They are just cowards is all, and are so afraid of losing their little tax exempt status that they subjucate their principles to save a couple of bucks of taxes. As I always say, "Follow the Money."
