Romney Is What the Country Needs Right Now

To all Real Americans. The ones that don't hate conservatism as directed by their divisive, demonizing masters. Get to the people you know or everyone you meet with Democrat senators up for re-election. A vote for a Democrat is a vote for Harry Reid to continue his no budget, keep up the spending ways.

Ban Libertarians from Townhall.

Ban Libertarians period, come to think of it.

I get what libertarians mean intellectually (and agree for the most part), but they cannot sway the body politic, so they help the Left by diverting votes from conservatives

Politically, gw, Libertarians strike me as the Conservative version of Progressives - nearly Utopian in outlook and willing to see the unattainable whole loaf lost rather than settle for the attainable half loaf.

That's about the size of it, rick.

Ultimately, politics is not a junior high debate club.

The only politics that truly matter are policies implemented.

Endless fruitless conversations about ideals distracts otherwise well-intentioned folks while their political enemies (Liberals) plot their destruction.

Rick, I see the same thing with some diehard Conservatives about abortion. "Better that 97% continue to be murdered if we can't get the entire 100%!"

Of course, I'm talking about those who want all abortion outlawed, and will not compromise by keeping in the caveats of rape, incest, and life of the mother. They are willing to keep the murder of innocents legal and common, just because they will not bend on this one issue. I, also, want all abortions stopped, but I realize that just as "abortion on demand" came about slowly, little by little, it will have to be repealed, little by little. Eventually, we can have all human life celebrated and protected.

Na, there's no need to ban them....ban the ad hucksters and serial copy and paster lefty's.....

I enjoy debating libertarians....they can almost never refute conservative arguments and usually devolve into utopian wishes instead of making decisions based on reality. Usually they're good spirited about it...but some of them definitely have a foot solidly planted into the Leftist tent...

That part doesn't bother me....the part that bothers me is that they deny it.

I am hard-core against any abortion, Otho, but I would consider any deal that saved the lives of children. Unlike the selection of a President, We the People can have only so much say in the matter of abortion, thanks to activist courts. In general, all positions of "All or Nothing At All" are doomed to fail.

So is a vote for Gary Johnson in this election.

The single most important issue in this election is ending the national nightmare of Obamacare.

If Obamacare is not stopped, it will permanently change the political culture of this country. There will be no going back. America will become a less productive, less wealthy nation. What wealth remains will have to be plowed into Obamacare -- to the delight only of the tens of thousands of government bureaucrats administering it.

There won't be one moment marking the end of America. Everything will just gradually get worse, like trains and the tax code, until a bustling, prosperous nation is...
