Romney was catering to the tea party and couldn't switch back...he was never the moderate choice anyway....most moderates would have taken huntsman or even newt....the tea party has destroyed the GOP, if they keep it up 2016 will be over before it started....

Moderates are too complacent and too much inclined to cave for the sake of peace when what we truly need is backbone, vision, courage, and conviction to pursue a scope of policies that genuinely have a chance of turning this nation around.

Can you name the great moderates in American history who got great things done? Were the declaration and constitution moderate documents? Was Manifest destiny moderate? Was the Civil War moderate? WW!? WW11? putting a man on the moon? Moderates are road kill in American history.

The negotiated, the party is extremely weak right now especially after 4 years of the GOP being run by the hard right tea guys had a chance and you failed to get Obama out of just get out of the way and let the moderates actually take over and do the work.....
