Suggested elsewhere, but worth considering. FLIP A COIN. Winner gets whichever half of the U.S. he desires. Other half goes to ?Romney/Ryan? as conservative U.S. Either half is ruled by the ideology that got them there, with like-minded populations relocating to the half they feel most comfortable with. QUESTION: How long before the conservative half of self-striving, self-determinant persons has to put up border fences, or fill in tunnels to keep out those "others" who wish to forfeit their chance of living in their utopia? I'd say it's a fine experiment in this experiment called American democracy.

In the wake of Tuesday's defeat, one of the most intelligent pieces of long-term analysis I have read comes from Andrew Klavan.  In his brilliant piece "The Long Game: A Cultural Manifesto" he has set out some truths that the conservative movement desperately needs to hear.

The whole thing is worth a read, but my focus here is his discussion of the entertainment industry.  We can never win any kind of long-term political battle unless we succeed in establishing structures that will allow conservative ideas (and even plain common sense) to be disseminated in what used to be called "low"...
