With a Democraptic Senate, there's no way he'd be convicted, so any impeachment would be a meaningless gesture by the House. Plus given the way the Republicans were treated by the media when they impeached Clinton, it would be a lose-lose proposition for the GOP.

We've known this failure was forthcoming for some time, but it's still worth flagging for several reasons, which we'll get to momentarily.  First, the basics:
