I always enjoy your articles. Sometimes, I enjoy the comments. It amuses me when I finish your article and the comments have strayed so far from your column, it makes me wonder why the commenters aren't writing their own column...but oh, wait...they do not have your talent, knowledge, or skill. (Blatant sucking up to you here). Anyway, as I was reading your notes on the formation of gold, I just kept inserting the word miracle.

In the beginning, God created gold. And the free markets for them.

The creation of all gold- that which has come to symbolize money- was forged by nature out of a violent cataclysm of a stellar- and singular- magnitude, that was much bigger than a Facebook IPO.

Even today, scientists still do not agree how gold was created.
