Par 1 0f 2 Time alone does not guarantee nor preclude success. My children are proof of that reality. When we started to homeschool, we did so via a public charter school which supported homeschoolfamilies. Over the course of their elementary education, my children attended a learning center to take supplemental classes one or two days a week. This meant I schooled them in the core academics three to four days a week rather than five. Funny my children mastered the basics just fine. What our experience proves is it isn't the amount of time spent in the classroom, it is the quality of the time spent in the classroom. I used a thematic approach which allowed my children to see the connections between art and science,
