"Your Romans 13:1 text was written by Paul in 1st century Rome when he was encouraging new Christians in an existing political structure. Does it apply today? Did it apply in 1776, when the colonies revolted against England? " is there a time limit on God's Word? I don't think so. All's I know is that God sets up leaders. Ecclesiastes talks about seasons which also applies. We know God moves men to do what He wants. Each of us will find out the Truth one day - hopefully.

I kind of doubt that our forefathers in 1776, were sitting around having bible study sessions and debating scriptures. Perhaps they were just royally angry with the King, his rule, his taxes and decided to do something about it. Of course they didn't have the entitlement generation to deal with back in those days. This will make a modern era Tea Pary Revolution much more difficult since half the country is on one side of the fence and half is on the other side. My guess is the the scenario will have to run full course, the country hit bottom and then the battle will start. It will not be a pretty picture and sadly we will never recover from the damage that will have been done to a once great country.

Besides, you'll notice that the Kings often came to uncomfortable ends so I think God can handle things the way He wants to handle them.

You make good points, but they are kind of all over the place from the demise of Kings at the hand of God to Paul's

"is there a time limit on God's Word? I don't think so"
Maybe so, but I do believe our founders did the right thing. God didn't seem to have a problem with that insurrection. After all, He blessed this country for many years.

"We know God moves men to do what He wants."
This would be the only viable explanation as to why a country would re-elect such an established failure, not to mention a person with such a hostile disposition.

"Each of us will find out the Truth one day - hopefully."
There is no "hopefully" about it. Everyone will know the truth. To some its confirmation will be joyous and to others, not so much.

Paul's encouragement of 1st century Christians. But, I do understand that God uses humans to carry out His plans. It is just hard to know exactly what our response s/b to some of the side effects of such plans. For example, was it correct to resist Hitler? Some could use your arguments to support not engaging Germany in WWII. At the time, those events could have been interpreted as the start of the end times and God's plan.

Aggregated at Twitchy are a selection of tweets from small business owners who have been forced, unwillingly, to fire employees in order to survive a second Obama term. Perhaps one of the most poignant was this: "This morning dad was sad because he knew he'd have to lay off people due to ObamaCare costs. #ThanksObama."

There are larger businesses already announcing layoffs, as well. Among those doing so just in the 48 hours since President Obama was reelected are:
