Exactly his foreign policy is more like the far left and Michael Moore's foreign policy then the foreign policy of Ronald Reagan.
but Reagan did not see his enemies as having legitimate grievances he saw America as in the right and negotiated from a position of strength. Ron Paul has in the past sought to give explanations for 9/11 just like the far left. Reagan saw communism as a real threat Ron Paul does not seem to view Islamism as the threat it really is. Its not all our fault its the fault of people who believe in hate and terrorism just as America was not to blame for communism. President Reagan never gave lip service to the blame America first crowd.
Ronald Reagan was neither a neoconservative nor a non-interventionist like Ron Paul. He saw America as the last great hope and thus we have a responsibility to maintain global leadership and achieve peace through strength.
I disagree with his foreign policy while I dont believe in spreading democracy I agree with Reagan's view of peace through strength. Iran and North Korea will not respond to diplomacy even though war is tough and undesirable sometimes it is necessary and the consequences of ignoring Islamist terror or giving in are far worse.
While the writer is very intelligent, the phrase moderate Islamist seems like a liberal phrase. Morsi is no moderate him and his Islamist movement want to implement Sharia law and believe the man responsible for the 1993 world trade center bombing should be let out of jail. As conservatives it dosn't help to parrot left wing foreign policy lines The Islamist world is not one of peace and they have called for censorship in America so people cant say things which offends them. While we can't know for sure if Iran,Syria, Lebanon and Iraq are any indicator Egypt will not become peaceful over night and we can instead expect unfortunately an Islamist state.

Why the War Party Fears Hagel

Israel is not looking for war they are just looking for an effective way to prevent Iran which has threatened them from getting a nuclear bomb. If Israel feels they need to militarily prevent Iran from getting it they will they have not asked America to go to war for them just to support them if they feel they need to. Bibi is not looking for war and knows first hand the horrors of war but is also not willing to see an Islamist fundamentalist regime who supports terror with a nuclear bomb.
Great article and very well written.

Is Middle East Peace a Mirage?

IloveHashem Wrote: Nov 23, 2012 1:21 AM
In reality Radical Islam is blocking peace not Israel. Radical Islamists throughout the region have demonstrated time and time again that they are not interested in peace and have no regard for human life how is that Israel's fault. It is a frustrating situation but Radical Islamists kill minorities throughout the Middle East and have been launching missles from schools its sad that Pat chooses to blame Israel for something that is not its fault.
This time I heard it was 69 percent not 80 percent and among Religious Jews the majority voted for Gov.Romney.

Because Israel is the only country in the middle East that likes America and is a democracy that shares values. They also have a common enemy Radical Islamists hate and detest every thing non Muslim countries represent.

G-d Bless TownHall for reporting the truth not the pro-Islamist leftist propaganda.
