What "works" about Communist China, ironically, is that they have almost completely deregulated and decentralized their economy, while keeping their jack-boots on when it comes to ANY perceived threat to the Communist ruling class. Their economy is actually FREER than ours is in all the respects that actually matter.

You misunderstand ILLBay. The people are not freer but the economy is. It is wild west there. The "entreprenial" spirit has run rampant there. There is virtually no regulation and corruption is everywhere. Millionaires are made faster than here. The enviroment is being degraded at a geometric rate. The top 10% are beginning to live like kings while the bottom 90% works form minimal yen and live in horrible conditions.

heck,if you watch "Yan Can Cook" on PBS,you can see that.

Besides,the Chinese military owns and operates many of those "private" businesses,and skim off some of the profits for military purposes.
OFF the books,of course,that money is not counted in the official budget,so no outsider really knows how much China is spending on it's military.

Jeffrey Immelt, the modern version of Jim Jett’s brother and Chief Executive Officer of General Electric, should be fired.

Actually, if it’s possible, he should be fired twice: once because he’s a scoundrel and another time because he’s a fool.

As a fool and as a scoundrel, the guy has wonderful timing; timing that can only be attributed to the vast Left-Wing conspiracy that aims to convince...
