As long as the GOP keeps discussing abortion, Medicare, Social Security, Medicaid, taxes for the wealthy, guns, they are going to loose elections. As a matter of fact, I do not ever see them winning again. We need a more constructive, liberal RP that stays away from the hot button issues Abortion gives women the right to choose. It is being obstructed by men. There would be no problem with Medicare or Social Security if the gov't leaders had not stolen money from this cache. Guns need to have stipulations with background checks.Republicans should put these items into perspective.Medicare taxes should be higher for the wealthy or abolished for the wealthy Of course, everyone deserves Social Security except gov't workers who did not pay into SS

The only valid things you mentioned was Medicare and SS. Abortion should be determined only by the states. The rest of your points are already represented by liberals.... you are promoting one party without opposition.

President Obama knows for a fact what many in the Republican Party — especially it's "leadership" — fail to understand or acknowledge: the GOP is not only irrelevant, but impotent as it flails about in search of convictions, some backbone, national support and an honest message.

The just released self-described "autopsy" report by the Republican National Committee merely confirms that truth.

Beyond the president, this new reality has dawned on all but the most partisan Republicans or consultants to the RNC.

It has become crystal clear that a growing number of liberals in positions of power have little or no respect...
