Hogwash. I have been in global logistics for years, and it is very well known that US drivers will not travel into Mexico. US companies drop their trailers at the border and a Mexican company will haul it to it's final deliivery point. NAFTA should work both ways, and it doesn't. If you have seen a US rig in Mexico, I am positive it was driven by a Mexican citizen, not a US driver. Also, it's common knowledge that when you import into Mexico, your shipment may be delayed due to clearing Mexican customs. You learn to time the trailer hitting Mexican customs when certain teams are not workking. US drivers need to obtain a CDL to drive. While the Mexican govt. has a similar program, it generally allows a 16 year old to get is license to drive.
