Katie is right on the money. Now if only the emotional multitude could stop their emotional tantrums long enough to look at the logic side of this. THAT could actually eliminate, or at least ameliorate the next massacre (which will come as long as we (?) insist on keeping the gun free zones (which I see as government mandated killing fields) intact.

I have renamed 'gun free zones' government mandated kill zones, and that's is exactly for what they are being used

That is the problem, legislators like to take the easy way out. If there is a shooting, let's put in gun control legislation. If that doesn't work, as it hasn't, pile some more on top of that. Forget rationality. To put pressure on, lets make things easier for mass murderers. Let's make gun free zones, which will attract the nuts that want to shoot lots of people. When that takes place, use the emotional fallout to push more gun legislation. They know, and have expressed, that this won't work, but it makes them look as if they were doing something, and most people buy into that. Logic and smarts is not a common characteristic of ordinary, every day people. And that will be misused by the powers that be to their own advantage.

Obama uses these kids (that were killed thanks to 'gun free zones' or what I call government mandated kill zones) simply as means to an end. Disarming the population. Period.

With ignorant idiots like her, trying to control things they have absolutely no clue about is a major reason we are in the mess we are in. How can you have a valid opinion on something you are totally ignorant about, and don't even take the time to educate yourself on? Having people like that shape our country is an unmitigated disaster. We should put a law on the books, that people like that would be fired as soon as they show that type of incompetence (before they can do more damage). She needs to be targeted at the very latest at the next election.

Right to the point and absolutely correct! Let's get rid of the legislated kill zones, called gun free zones (ha, - like Aurora and Newtown). Just because you put a name on something, that does not guarantee that that's what it will be.
