These policies are completely stupid. But the bill is stupid, too. Why punish all kids in the school for the actions of silly, overzealous school officials?

I guess, then, that you know nothing of which the lawsuit is about. Paula Deen admitting in a deposition that she has used the N-word 30 years ago is nothing. What you fools on this site don't understand is that the information from the deposition is nothing compared to what Deen, as the ultimate controller of her companies, allowed to happen, with notice that it was happening, in her companies in the last few years. You know, I REALLY recommend primary sources and knowing what is going on, as opposed to living in an echo chamber. The complaint alleging the sexual and racial discrimination and abuse is available if you just google it. then you can actually know what you are talking about.....

Why do you think Deen was being deposed? As in "deposition", where she admitted to using the N-word? Read the complaint--brought by a white woman, by the way. Now who is stupid?

I feel a little sorry for Deen, but if you read the legal complaint, her brother is an absolute nightmare. Complaints about him to Deen and her legal counsel were ignored. He was a huge part of the company and his behavior was horrendous. I wish he was the one being publicly flogged!
Thanks for your concern. Since I'm a good, decent human being I'll trust that if I am judged, it will be based on the kind of life I have led.
Those of us who are not believers can just refuse to say the pledge, anyway.

This is a silly article. Ben needs to distinguish between themes explored in film and real life. Did you read Oedipus Rex by the great Greek tragedian Sophocles? The one where the king sleeps with his mother? Did you ever see "Chinatown" with Jack Nicholson? Art is meant to provoke thought and feeling--not to directly promote a particular agenda. And if you think the latter, you are a truly impoverished soul.
