Yes, it was a truly hot and horrible four days in Chicago during the heat wave. Which came in JULY, not normally a month during which school is in session. If school were in session, this is exactly the kind of weather during which school is canceled. Even if the school is air conditioned. (Note that teachers still get paid when weather forces schools to close.)
