Completely agree. I've been working on my degree in physical geography and I also believe the evidence supports global warming. The Medieval Warm Period was considerably warmer. Then the Earth went into the Little Ice Age. Now things are warming up again. While sea surface temperatures can affect the intensity of hurricanes, the seas aren't warming up because I drank out of a plastic bottle with BPA or used an incandescent lightbulb. Higher sea surface temperatures and rising sea levels may eventually be detrimental to low-lying coastal atolls in the South Pacific (like Tuvalu) and that needs to be dealt with, but the sea levels won't rise because we didn't listen to Al "McMansion" Gore.
Following Hurricane Sandy’s massive devastation across the northeast, many were quick to tie it to “climate change” (you know, what “global warming” and the “new ice age” used to be.). In a blog post on Tuesday, former Vice President Al Gore wrote “Hurricane Sandy is a disturbing sign of things to come. We must heed this warning and act quickly to solve the climate crisis. Dirty energy makes dirty weather.”

Meghan McCain sarcastically weighed in on Twitter, “So are we still going to go with climate change not being real fellow republicans?”
