This comment makes no sense. Are you saying Paul Ryan did not vote for TARP, did not vote for the auto bailout, and his budget balances and deals with the deficit/debt? And regarding the 'something for nothing' comment; are you saying we need to accept high level government spending so that we can get less government spending? You make no sense and that whole comment is unintelligent. We're all dumber for reading it.

Romney willmaintain the status quo and rack up trillions of debt. Jesus, he's talking about spe nding even more on the military while cutting nothing elsewhere. This whole thing is a bad joke and we're the butt of it. Romney makes you feel better about your self but the country doesn't change. As for who I'm voting for, I'm writing in Mickey Mouse because he's as real as the choice we have.

Those things you mentioned don't eben put a dent in the deficit and debt. We're talking about a trillion dollars deficit each year. Green energy money is what, a couple billion? Pakistan and Egypt is what, a couple hundred million? I don't think 'conservatives' actually understand the problems we're facing. It's not Obama, it's a political culture. And electing Romney does nothing to fix this except make you feel better that it's your guy who's racking up the debt.

And he plans to increase "defense" spending. We're talking about decades of deficits and running up debt. Paul Ryan's budget plan doesn't balance the budget for 30 years and cuts nothing. The medicare voucher program cuts nothing. It's all a game to spend more while making you think they are cutting costs.

I couldn't care less about Paul Ryan's marathon either. What I care about is the fact that he voted for TARP, voted for the auto bailout, and has a budget plan that doesn't balance the budget for 30 years and cuts nothing. Yet somehow Paul Ryan is presented to us as some great conservative hope? Are we stupid? Right now I would say yes.

This talk about the 'american dream' is just as of substance as 'hope and change' was. 'Leadership' is a vague platitude as well. What exactly is Romney going to do? The answer is nothing. He's going to change nothing and maintain the status quo. It's as if we've learned nothing over the past 10 years. 'Restoring the American Dream,' 'provide leadership,' 'turn this country around,' take the economy off nuetral,' are not plans or policies; they are campaign slogans.

Only problem is that Romney and Paul Ryan are not 'one of us.' They are progressives just like Obama. The fact that all these Republicans keep drinking the kool-aide every election after so many years of the same pattern is what makes me sad for the state of humanity.
I can't see how you guys can't see that articles like this and the speeches at the convention are a distraction so that you ignore what these guys are all about. I bet you all think Paul Ryan is such a great conservative. But you're wrong! It appears lthat Paul Ryan's marathon time isn't the only thing about Paul Ryan that has been exaggerated: Paul Ryan voted for TARP; Paul Ryan voted for the auto bailout; and Paul Ryan's 'extreme' budget plan doesn't balance the budget for 30 years (i.e. it really doesn't cut anything). This character b.s. and all this talk about 'the american dream' is meant to make you feel good about voting for these guys while ignoring the fact that they will not (and never have) governed as conservatives.

Don't you wish we had a president like this guy: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=280944652903
