Obama's Tax Evaders of the Year

About two years ago I read that the bible was removed from the hand of Lincoln at his memorial. Never heard any more. Was it true or not ? Does anyone here know ?

Happy New Year?

Sowell is right again, and especially by adding the ? to the title. Being in my 70's I recall hearing when I was a child "Crime Doesn't Pay". And I grew up thinking that to tell a lie was a crime just like other crimes. No so is it , unless you actually swear to tell the truth. ***When Obama is sworn in what would be wrong if the Judge added "I promise to tell the truth and nothing but the truth." ? ****

It's Time for Media Control

When a boy in the 40's we would gather at the old radio for about 10 minutes of news. To open we would hear a commercial, one in the middle (short) and one at the end. Very little opinion, just news. Now you can turn on the news 24/7 and it is somewhere between the commercials somewhere. Mostly opinions and very little news. Many really stupid questions. Women commentators who don't trust their mikes and yell through their noses. They move their mouth but they shriek like a fingernail on a chalkboard. It is a trend that started in the late 70's and they all sound alike with blond hair, skimpy dresses and a wild and crazy TV setting. Opinions may interest some people but I prefer news backed by facts. Obama freeloads on news.

Thomas Sowell, you did a great job about this subject and again in my opinion, the ones who have posted here have expressed themselves mostly in a mature fasion and concerned. On the other hand if the president was to come on here, the value of this thread would be degraded, just like his so called sympathty for the lost and the loved ones was, when he spoke/acted. The speech writer, except for the plug for gun control, did a good job but the heart you can't fake. There should be a notice printed on our president: Caution: believing what this man says can be dangerous to your health.

The Republican Hispanic Challenge

hpettyjohn Wrote: Dec 03, 2012 12:27 PM
Hispanics have a culture inherited, which has been somewhat different, for some time. To them ,it is the way, but to the rest of us, not so all American. Who is right, the Hispanics or Americans ? Hispanics are big on family gatherings, Catholic upbringing if any, fathers share themselves with other women and the wife gets to raise the kids. Child support is paid after a period in jail and paying taxes are put off frequently. Seems claiming 8 kids is the practice when you have 5 or 6, and for sure to minimize withholding. Whites and Blacks make good friends to Hispanics if they need something but only when alone. When not alone they are called by different names. Truth is not a major virtue. Found at bar shootings.
I wuz right ! This thread is holding up atheists. When debating is the name of the game they jump on like stink on doo doo. Reckon I will be moving on. This is where they say " Yea, he is leaving because he can't stand the heat", then another will agree.

Michelle Malkin...I would like to thank you too for giving us the truth and exposing the lies.
Either our president is too stupid to know what he has created or his plan to the ruination of the US is working well.
I expect that Mr. Barone is right. He can't cover every little detail to please every reader but going negative is a good start. If you have ever had a discussion with a Democrat you instantly find that it is different than talking to a Republican. Some prefer talking to one or the other. I find Negative overpowering with a Democrat, Obama constantly campaigns feeding negative thoughts to his listeners. To a Democrat who thinks negative, positive thinking is abrasive.

A Time for Truth, Not Word Games

I agree with Star Parker, as usual, Romney has no charisma. Fact is he is just pretty boring. He tries to display charisma but it just goes kerplop. Charisma is nice but it isn't a requirement for the job of President. It got this one elected but it wasn't his job, it was his love. The man loves himself so much it just flows. With all that love mixed with promises how could he lose? We will find out come November. Romney has Grit and loves God, Family, and Country.
