Glib 'Happy Talk'

Is it just me, or does anyone else see the similarity between what happened in Vietnam and what our Commander In Chief is doing now? Vietnam began by us sending a few "advisors" to train the Vietnamese Army, then we sent more, and more, and more. And the other problem there was that our leaders tried to micromanage the war from Washington, DC, to the point of even selecting which targets to bomb.
To those who say that Williams' lies were harmless, I beg to differ. While they may have been told to make himself look more important, they served another purpose. In the case of the helicopter in Iraq story, it served to make it look as if the war in Iraq was going worse than it actually was. Same thing with the story about Katrina. It gave people the opinion that Bush's response was bad. I wonder why we didn't hear any stories like this during hurricane Sandy? Or the BP oil spill? At the micro level his lies probably didn't have any impact on people's lives, but they furthered the narrative that Bush (and republicans) are bad.

I always look forward to Dr. Sowell's columns, especially his "Random Thoughts." On a different note, it seems to me that if Townhall can filter obscene words that it should be able to filter out any post containing the phrase "start working from home". How 'bout it Townhall?
As I understood the lawyer on Megan Kelley's show last night, this is criminal and she could go to jail for a couple of years.

"I don't think the new committee will unearth much more than what the public already should infer: The administration unsuccessfully tried to shift the blame from al-Qaida-inspired terrorists to an American-made video." I don't think it's about unearthing new evidence. It's about proving that they intentionally covered it up in order to get re-elected, even though they still deny it to this day. And the MSM was a part of that cover-up and still is. They are only now beginning to ask questions, and only now because if they don't it would confirm their liberal bias. I would love to see videos of Obama in Vegas the day after the attacks. I'll bet he was his typical self on the campaign trail, laughing and jeering at conservatives.
In Indiana you can buy beer in gas stations and convenience stores, but not *cold* beer. For that you have to go to a liquor store. But you can buy hard liquor in any grocery store. You can't buy any alcohol on Sunday.
Umm, yes there was some universal truth handed down on gold tablets.
Harrison it's posts like yours that make me with that TH had a "LIKE" button.
It seems to me that in the 2008 election Republicans constantly brought this up. Remember Sarah Palin being mocked for constantly saying "drill baby drill"? Or were you too obsessed over gay marriage and abortion to hear any of that?
You have several accidents in one year in a car that is very expensive to drive you get a cheaper, safer car.
