When I was in the market for a commuter car, I compared several cars, including hybrids and electrics. I was looking for a cheaper car that would get me to and from work with the lieast trouble and cost. I settled on the Kia Rio ($11,500), which was advertised at 32mpg city (I get 35 by short shifting with the manual transmission). The Prius ($27,000) was advertised at 47mpg city. If I could actually get this out of the Prius (our friends get about 42mpg), based on current gas prices, it would take over 30 years ($15500/.$.03 per mile difference in operating cost = 607,000 miles) to make up the difference between that the list price for each car was. I know I could choose a cheaper hybrid, but the current hybrids we not available when I was looking to purchase in 2008. I don't know about you, but I'm not planning on keeping a commuter car until it qualifies for antique plates.

I read it for the first time in 2010 as well. It took me forever to get through it, because the similarities between fiction and reality were overwhelming.

Instill the values of socialism, of course.
25 year old, not 35. Not enough coffee yet this morning.
Your Honor, my client didn't kill that 35-year old man. It was a 103rd trimester abortion.
"White" collar criminals? Sounds racist to me.

If this happens, do all the laws that he signed and all the exective orders that he enacted become null and void on the spot? I couldn't ask for a better gift.
The US ranked so low because the "Infant mortality" portion of the calculation included all the aborted babies. Imagine how we would rank if we stopped killing the most innocent among us.
I still call him the POTUS, but in this case it stands for "Piece of Totally Unbelievable...". Americans like their fantasy, as shown with the selection available on TV and at the movie theaters. Years of conditioning will make them believe anything, like a 12 year old child can hop off a skyscraper onto a Harrier jump jet . Fantasy leads to a warped sense of reality, which leads to people believing anything they are told.
Walmart employs near 1.5 million people in the US. But they are evil, so lets force them out of business and put another 1.5 million people out of work. Sounds like another brilliant idea from the progressives. People don't have to work at Walmart, they chose to enter a mutually beneficial relationship with their employer. They can quit at any time.
Was she a democrat?
