Maybe nitpicking, but there's one element of this incident that keeps getting repeated incorrectly, even here by Dr. Sowell. The dispatcher never told Zimmerman to stop following Martin...he asked Zimmerman if he was following Martin and then related, "Okay, we don't need you to do that". In a court of law this is not the same as directing Zimmerman to stop.
