Nations are not people, Romney to the contrary. They don't have friends, and they don't 'deserve' anything. They more resemble simple organisms, they have a natural life cycle.

There is no conspiracy to take away our freedoms. Really, there's not. But you can find a correlation between freedom and population. Simply put for you guys, the more of us there are, the less freedom we can have. Example: When everyone in florida lived on a one acre lot, septic tanks were fine. But when lot size went to half of that, it was more than could be absorbed, and sewers had to be installed. Sewers became mandatory, not to stifle individual freedom, but so that A.- Developers could make more money with high density housing, or B.- To provide housing for an increasing population. Or both. When I hear about shedding regulation, I visualize drums of toxic sludged dropped off in the middle of the night.

The First Amendment prohibits prior restraint, we should point that out to anyone who might be interested. But we should also tell them how you can sue the pants off anyone who intentionally harms you.

I understand the tribal thing, but it's on the way out as they get more connected to the rest of the world. I thnk we're in for a really interesting decade, but there is reason to expect a good outcome if we keep our heads and act rationally. ...we're screwed, aren't we?
