I guess the news about Phil Mickelson occurred after you wrote this column. Another one driven out of California you can add to the list. Tiger said it was the exact same reason he turned pro out of Orlando FL after growing up his entire life in CA. That was back in 1996 I believe.

The sad part was when he felt he had to apologize. Apologize? They're taking 62% from him! Can you blame the guy? And then I keep hearing all these snarky comments from liberals like "Poor Phil, he has to make do on only 3 million". It's his god damn money! Argghhhh that pisses me off.

Moving to California was once the dream for many Americans. Its population grew at almost triple the national average -- until 1990. Then big government, in the form of endless regulation and taxes, killed much of the dream. In the last decade, 2 million people left California.
