It wasn't days. Politico already quoted idiots making that claim. They came out even before the full scope of any damage has been estimated.

I think that jax33 is referring to the country of Trans-Jordan which was created to be the Arab state the first time that the British split the Mandate into an Arab state and a (promised) Jewish state. Jordan invaded the "West Bank" and treated it as the "Palestinian homeland" until Nasser conned them into trying to invade Israel in 1967. Of course, there was no such thing as a "Palestinian" until the Arabs decided to coopt the term for themselves. Prior to the state of Israel, "Palestinian" meant the Jews living in the British Mandate.

Except February Which Stands Alone

That was probably the point that he made. He was talking about Augustus Caesar creating August. July had already been created an taken the day from February (leaving it with 29).

You forgot to mention that the original Republican Party became the second party and the original second party disappeared. In that case, the third party replaced the second party. That was a major effect. Of course that was about 150 years ago, so it was not included in your list (which was restricted to the last century.

Atheism: What a Joke

Hillel2 Wrote: Sep 21, 2010 10:39 AM
Interestingly enough, the atheist is the most rigid of fundamentalist believers. There is absolutely no way that anyone can prove that the universe was not created with this message on your computer screen (aside of course from sacred scripture). In fact, there is no way to determine when the universe came into being at all. Whether it was 5 seconds ago or 5 billion years ago, there has to have been some beginning. As long as there is "time" then there must be a beginning. Atheism cannot seem to understand this.
Don't forget that so far, adult stem cell research has gotten positive results. Embryonic stem cell research has not found anything positive. In fact, it is more likely to generate a cancer than cure a disease. As an example, look at http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/15385500/ "Injecting human embryonic stem cells into the brains of Parkinson’s disease patients may cause tumors to form, U.S. researchers reported"
Nice title, but I did not know that Obama claimed to have gone to medical school.
