John, you are always welcome in Georgia! I do worry about people getting fed up with their states and moving to other states only to continue voting for the same kinds of people who sent their original state into the toilet. We have a lot of northern transplants down here who like to bring their voting habits with them. If it didn't work up north why do you think it will work down here? It's really infuriating and it's one of the reasons I support the principle of secession.

Guess what? The "Honorable" Charles Rangel of NYC now says our federal government must change the attitudes of you hicks from the South. You and your old fashioned beliefs and lifestyles are a danger to the Communists, aka Democrats, from completing their takeover of the entire country and our beliefs and mores.

At least you're not a Mecca for refugees from Jersey Shore like Florida is. They get their union pension and move south where it is warmer. They try to take over any home owner association. or school board meeting they attend. Many places of business have a sign behind the counter that reads "We don't care how you do it up north".

Same problem here in Texas. We welcome those that want to escape oppression and lack of opportunities, but coming here should be conditioned to not voting until you own a house, so you can have some skin in the game.
Thanks, California! Thanks for your monstrous spending and absurd regulatory overreach! America needs you. We need Connecticut and Illinois, too! We need you the way we needed the Soviet Union, as models of failure, to warn us what happens if we believe those who say, "Government can."

Moving to California was once the dream for many Americans. Its population grew at almost triple the national average -- until 1990. Then big government, in the form of endless regulation and taxes, killed much of the dream. In the last decade, 2 million people left California.

Many of them moved to Alaska, Florida,...
