You're letting the media lull you into a sense of defeatism. In my state, Scott Walker rejected hundreds of millions of dollars from the Federal Government for a ridiculous high speed train that almost no one in the state would ever ride. Democrats accused him of rejecting "free money". Guess what, Walker won by 7 points in a state where Romney was defeated by 7 points. It takes political courage, but when conservatives take that chance, they will get rewarded, in spite of what the political pundits would have you believe.
