"The problem with modern Republicans is that they tend to eat their own young." You had a great point . . . until you threw in McCain. McCain has made a living the past 20 years attacking his own party in order to further his own game of self promotion.

You can't be serious. HE'S A POLITICIAN. That's what they do. All of them. From both parties. Especially at the top levels. The only possible exceptions to that norm I can think of in my lifetime are Truman and Eisenhower. And maybe Carter. All the rest have been power-seeking narcissists. That is the nature of our representative democracy, like it or not.
