Tea Time at the Kagan Household

The Senate's hearings concerning Ms Kagan's fitness to serve as a Justice of the Supreme Court have fallen far short of the mark. The first purpose of these hearings must ensure that no one ever be seated on the Court who would subvert or diminish the Constitution. These hearings have failed by not having exposed her propensity for interpreting laws through a lens of political ideologies and judicial philosophies [including the use of foreign law] hostile to those embodied in our most sacred founding documents. Sentiments readily found and openly expressed by Ms Kagan, outside these hearings, seem far removed from what this country based on the "Rule of Law" demands of its judges.
