Consider that when you mock & disparage Christians, they pity you & pray for you. When you mock & disparage Muslims, they lop your head off. Reaganlover, you wouldn't last long in a Muslim country.

You're not as conservative as you may think you are if your idea to fix this country is to mandate servitude. What you are calling for is a draft, with your choice of organisation. Drafts rarely work well unless the public 'psyche' is already receptive to the issue (America's Civil War or its participation in WW2, for example). Do you honestly think anyone in the 18-24 yo bracket would happily set their lives back by 2 years, when they should be building the foundation for career, family & life? Or that anyone 62-72 yo would want to be forced (yes, FORCED, that's what you are calling for) to do more work after a lifetime of work? Your proposal sounds like a page from the Obungler/Libtard playbook.

The whole goal of "what if" statements is to get (rational) people to think, to begin a course of internal & external inquiry that may lead to enlightenment. A declarative statement forces you to take sides immediately, often as a knee-jerk reaction based on other factors than the statement itself. If I say "The gov't is coaxing crazy people into doing violent things!", you are more likely to either respond with something like: "You're the crazy one. Gov't doesn't do things like that. You're paranoid!" or: "You're absolutely correct, they do it every time they need to pass more restrictions on us." Don't believe it? Look at the responses to statements the conspiracy "nuts" make.

I've run my own small business, & I can tell you that when any kind of tax is levied on a business, one of 2 things happens: The tax is passed on to the consumer when I raise my prices to cover the tax: or I go out of business. Having taxes levied as a sales or consumption tax at the end sale makes it a lot simpler for consumers to decide what to spend money on. (This is predicated on ALL other taxes & gov't "fees" being abolished, which will bring prices down.)

"There are lies, damned lies & statistics." (Mark Twain or Benjamin Disraeli) Autism diagnosis are increasing, to a small extent due to broader definitions now used, but mostly because there are more actually autistic children. When I was a child in the early 60s, I lived in suburbia near Cleveland OH and there was 1 boy in the entire block that had classic autism symptoms, out of several dozen children. My family traveled a lot on visits to relatives in OH, PA & NY. I didn't run into another person with autism until the mid 70s, in high school after we moved to PA. Now, I know of several families with autistic children, including my brother-in-law & my sister-in-law. It's not a call for no vaccines, but a change to the preservatives.

Simple? You need to rethink this. By your own plan, you say a 10% tax on all income, including corporations. Businesses do not pay taxes. They bill the purchaser & then send it in to the gov't. So your "flat tax" would mean essentially a 20% tax on everyone. And that would hit people at the bottom of the economic ladder hard. And the IRS abolished? Just who do you think is going to make sure your little "Fair tax" is going to be collected? The tooth fairy? The "Fair Tax" is simple. It's a sales tax that replaces all the other taxes & fees demanded by the Fed gov't. It can be collected by the same agencies who collect sales taxes now. It is only collected when you buy something, not when the gov't decides you must send in...

The Branch Davidians weren't a "scary militia" group, they were religious nuts. The Oklahoma City bombing was done by 4 people, not exactly a militia unit, eh?

1. BATF's mandate is not child welfare. 2. The molestation charges came much later, as the FBI flailed around, trying to clean up BATF's mess & looking for justification for the situation. 3. BATF never made any attempt to co-ordinate with local & state law enforcement. (The McLennan County sheriff was interviewed on local TV. He was surprised at the situation, he had arrested Koresh before without incident. The interview was quickly pulled from the air.) 4. BATF could have easily picked up all of the compound leaders individually, yet chose to storm the compound, knowing it held women & children. 5. BATF wasn't interested in law enforcement, they wanted a splashy, sexy operation to justify funding, & it went horribly wrong. My...
