There is an expatriot Cuban who came here as a teen and became a dentist, and finally, an oral surgeon. Then there's the fellow who worked three jobs putting himself through school, and worked up to a PhD. Or how about an ex gang member who became a mechanic and now owns a chain of muffler shops. They are not only highly motivated people, but have expressed to me how insulted they are by the government treating them as if they were autistic. I hope Blacks are waking up to the real promise of America, that you can become whatever you want by your own initiative and hard work.

My oh my, such venom over what I thought was a rather mild remark. As it happens, I also am a gun owner and can if pressed, talk knowlegeably about them. However, it might be wise to use a gun owner web sight for such discussions. Further, I will express my opinions wherever and whenever I please whether you like it or not. I seem to get the impression that many Christians feel that if you're an atheist, you are automatically a bad person. That's as silly as if you're a (you name the religion) you are a bad person. An Atheist can have a rational philosophy that has him/her adhere to a moral and ethical life. And as to Atheists trying to convert Christians or people of other religions to their beliefs, their efforts pale in comparison to all the conversion efforts going on by various religions. Tolerence is not a one way street, and unless what is being expressed is anti-life it should be as acceptable to talk about it as it is to talk on any subject.

To continue the analogy: For Astaire to don coveralls and clodhoppers would be a sin. For Obama to do the same, wouldn't be, since he never learned the proper way t0 dance.

If Obama is insane, then most of the Democratic Party is insane as well. Michael Savage might well have it right when he proclaims, "Liberalism is a mental disorder." When a philosophy, or economic system fails everytime it's tried, a rational person has to say, at the very least, it is flawed. If Obama and his crew were to succeed, it would be the first step toward another Dark Ages. Who would want that? Perhaps those who think that they'll be the ruling class, knowing what's best for mankind. Another insane thought.

I've always thought that decisions based on precedents don't hold water. Each case is new with different nuances and should be judged as such.

You can awaken a sleeping giant. It's much harder to wake up a dyslexic troglodyte. The Dems under Obama have regressed to the very old-time smoke-filled room, machine type politics. It may have worked in Chigago, a great city that is so used to that sort of politicking that it has become inured to it, but it's not working on a national level. The Obama crew's only change, is a change back to early 20th century politics.

Do you really think that the left will actually refrain from throwing the racism bomb because of the Reid incident, or was your comments meant to be satire? Anytime they don't have an answer or can't defend their comments the left will inevitably resort to either character assassination, or cry racism. The leopard will not, or cannot change it's spots.

If we were to give in to every demand made by bin Laden, by Hamas, and every other Islamist terror organization, they would still be at war with us. They hate anything that civilization has accomplished past the 15th century. They hate freedom, democracy, women and infidels. They are bloody bastards using their religion as an excuse to gain enough power to rule as much of the world as they can. What the hell is so difficult to understand?

The ten Obama utterences show an immaturity and incompetence. But there are at very least another dozen or two. What people voted for was hope and change, what they got was a back bench Chicago politician who has gone back on every promise. So much for hope. The change part, he must get credit for. He is changing our mixed economy, (part capitalism and part socialism) into a completely socialist one.
