Nobody likes to be wrong at all. That includes those who speak out against homosexuality. I keep asking people if they are open to the possibility that they could be wrong about homosexuality. Very few of them ever bother to answer. What if you actually confronted God and God told you that you were dead wrong about homosexuality and the sin surrounding it was just a product of man's flaws? Moreover, what if that sort of thing warranted God's damnation and you were denied heaven over something like this? It's an important issue blind adherence to any position is the very epitome of excessive pride, which for Christians is the most egregious sin.

I’m always on the hunt for positive news, there being such consistent media focus on the bad stuff. Most days, headlines essentially read, “Handbasket full; hell in sight.”

So a recent headline caught my eye because of its positive tone: “Survey: Big drop in those who say being gay’s a sin.” According to Lifeway Research, a division of Lifeway Christian Resources of the Southern Baptist Convention, significantly fewer Americans defined homosexual behavior as sinful in 2012 than in 2011.
