I just think your ideology read things into the founders vision that wasn't there. The founders were scholarly, practical people. They understood the base nature of man, and they understood their world very well.

Good points, Henry.

RP will never consider anything that disagrees with his/her position as an adequate defense.

That is nonsense, Six. There world IS the USA. The envisioned it, and wrote the documents under which it was created. It is only the regressive leftist such as you that want to destroy their/our world.

The more things change, the more they stay the same, Dear Comrade.

The base nature of men lives on.

Your Utopian dreams are misguided, at best.

I have to fully agree with you, doc.

Mankind has not changed at all since the founding of America.

Yeah, we've gotten more "sophisticated" and we have made leaps in science and technology, no question.

However, other than a high degree od societal rot and decay, we're still the same old homo-sapiens that we were.

The Left routinely ascribes absolute moral authority to grieving victims in furtherance of their political agenda.  Their agitprop is often manipulative and exploitive, but it works.  Appeals to facts and reason aren't enough anymore; persuading the public increasingly requires emotional appeals.  Even if they find it inherently unpalatable, conservatives must promote people whose personal stories offer counter-narratives to liberals' tragic parade of victimhood.  Katie
