Great post...the more I have to manipulate my weapon in a dire, dangerous situation to defend myself and my family, the more risk I entail in a situation where everything is elevated: heart rate, breathing, adrenalin, fear, and making fine physical motor coordination activities necessary to use the weapon with precision. Bottom line is that you are less effective than you need to be, and higher capacity magazines allow you to be less precise, but still effective when defending yourself. Thanks Veritas.

You're welcome. Some good defense weapons carry between 30 & 50 round clips. For home defense, any of these will work and are lightweight enough for trained (and responsible) women and older children to use. My personal favorite is the PS-90, but any AR model with an adjustable stock will do. The round (and recoil) are also lighter, making it a good defense platform for anyone (which is the real reason they are a problem for the control freaks).
