of the Dems and Obama. That's the real story here. If she shot her husband, I have to believe the law looked into it. Now, The Law needs to look in to our government using tax dollars to pay ACORN (and other groups) to peddle the leftist agenda and 'influence' elections. It's time some of these 'lawmakers' do some time. Preferably not in Club Fed, 'though that would beat no time at all. Even 'time' at whatever homes they have left (after they are required to pay back to the tax payers ALL of the wealth they gained thanks to their manipulating legislative decisions to their benefit) would be an improvement, so long as they are out of office and can harm us no more. That goes for the criminals on both sides of the aisle.

Lacking the Votes?

They may not have the votes, but watch out for choice b. These people are so desperate they will break the law to make this law. Once this gets passed, we need to pool our money and pay for investigators to follow the money. There is definitely a BIG payoff coming here. You can be sure our government, made up of these crooks, will not investigate themselves. Long road of private lawsuits to clean up this cesspool, I fear.
Therein lies the rub. You promise to do anything in your power that is legal to get them removed from office. They know they have most of the power and plan to have all of it before the next election. As for 'do what is legal', most of these criminals are there in the majority because they used and financed illegal activities to ensure their election, and will do so again. Why do you think they are not afraid to go against what their constituents demand? The Chicago thugs have a plan already in motion, and when we finally see it come to fruition it will be the ugliest thing we have ever seen. But by then, it will be too late. And they know it.

Alice in Health Care: Part III

the problem. Perhaps you are a doctor or dentist who wishes none of your patients would dare to question you. I am not demonizing doctors, I am saying the third party payment system leaves the door wide open for fraud. But I have been around the healthcare world as a patient, as a caregiver for my mother during her final years, and as someone in allied businesses, and have seen plenty of creative billing and sometimes unneeded procedures going on. Wait until you have a hospital stay and look at the bill later and see a consultation charge for a doctor you didn't even know you had met. If you are not scrutinizing your contractor's practices, then you are part of the reason health costs are so high. The point is there are a lot of...

When was the last time your dentist told you it was time for another set of bitewing x-rays, not because you have a toothache or orthodontic problem, but because the calendar says enough time has gone by since the last x-ray and insurance will pay for a new set, and you said, "no thanks" and meant it? I think most would answer that they've never done such a review. Add to that that providers like the system where services are described in the most cryptic manner so that patients struggle to understand just what a line item means, and you have a system ripe for being gamed (aka fraud).

Even a system where we pay out of our pockets from a "stash of money" (I've heard there's one out there) that is our healthcare stipend would cut...

to the rising cost of healthcare issue. When I had surgery in the 80's, I had excellent insurance coverage. And, I had to pay the providers and submit my claims to the insurance company. That meant that I had to review every bill and if there was a bill for a service not rendered (or I felt I was overcharged), I had the opportunity to question that.

Now, providers send the paperwork directly to the insurance company. My 2001 surgery was relatively paperwork free. That is very convenient for doctors, patients, and insurance companies, but it also makes it easy for doctors (or other providers) to overcharge and charge for services not provided, or to double-charge for the same service.

When was the last time you...

Public Option Not Optional for Obama

Heidi87 Wrote: Aug 18, 2009 10:35 AM
Thank you for confirming what was my first reaction to the 'Government provides seed money for co-ops' alternative to the public option. This is just new lipstick on the same pig. If co-ops are a good idea (and maybe they are), they should be able to make it on their own. Providing taxpayer funding for 'seed money' that needn't be repaid like any other business loan is the same as creating any other 'public option' provider. Existing co-ops had to come up with a way to find investors who would cover claims while they built up enough co-op members to be able to cover on their own. If a co-op is a good idea, others can create them without government money, too. Set out an even playing field that allows innovation to solve the...

not 'representatives', and that is the scariest problem. Thank you, Mr. Driessen, for being one of few who spell that out ("...by the same divisive, dictatorial elements that are nationalizing our banking and healthcare systems."). Barbara Boxer is just one sad example of your average manipulator wending her way into "power". We need to pool our resources before the government confiscates all of it, and use them to investigate, prosecute, and imprison these thieves, and get our taxpayer money back from these individuals and their cronies. That goes for Dems and Repubs alike.
