Romney Camp Hoping for Knock-Out Punch in Pennsylvania?

Another liberal whine over money. Ho hum with you losers. Romney like Obama? That' even dumber. Obama - lame assistant law professor turned lame politician with ZERO executive and business experience, and it shows with massive debt, deficits, underemployment, loss of homes, failed stimulus', and failed Solyndras. Romney - 25 years of executive and business experience, along with great turn-around experience.

Fair enough, Bill.

But take a moment and imagine you are Barack Obama. Seriously, do this for me.

Now, as Obama, what do you want Bill and Panda to do? Do you want them to reach out in unifying the GOP--like Romney is doing--or do you want them lashing out and escalating the angry divisions in the GOP? Do you want them uniting, or dividing?

Do you want them to assume that all the Gingrich and Santorum followers will just go along with the GOP ticket no matter how much they're insulted and belittled, or do you want them doing all they can to be gracious winners?

Bill, you've always been honest with me, so do it again: What does Obama hope we'll do right now?
HCMC Wrote: Apr 09, 2012 3:46 AM

The GOP voters will all go to the voting booths to vote Obama out, and they will feel better about it with Romney, knowing he can win, versus another McCain like Santorum or Gingrich, who would never defeat Obama in a general election.

Bill, THEY WILL GO--VERY SOON.

But what then? What do we tell their angry followers? Tell me, Bill, will those followers be more likely to support Mitt if you and I are reaching out to them right now, or if we are bashing them?

Well? Which is it? We may not need Newt and Rick, but without their followers Mitt will lose to Obama. That's just a fact, Bill.

Look, I don't have problems with your hard talk so far, but for the sake of Mitt's candidacy, let's change directions. It's time to do like Mitt and focus on Obama, not the other GOP contenders.

I believe you were one of those reaching out to me when I supported Cain, Bill--although names change so much on here it gets confusing. Can you do it again?

I think so.

I do not care for either of them, and they bring NOTHING to the table for the party.

Santorum lost his own state MASSIVELY, and Gingrich was tossed by his own party.

Neither would have won anything if not for Democrats voting for them in open elections.

Look, I'd like to be a good shiat, too, but there is no time or room for that.

Both Gingrich and Santorum offer nothing, and both bring a bad stigma to the party, so it is best they aren't out there as poster children, so to speak.

One's a serial adulterer, the other is looked at as a right-wing 15th Century loon wanting to strip women's right, along with men's porn, and both have done the LOBBYING thing.

WE DO NOT NEED THEM - THEY CANNOT WIN - THEY NEED TO GO

You're right about Romney, Bill, but don't forget what Newt did with the Contract With America. That document still provides much of the framework for conservative thought--including many of Paul Ryan's ideas that Mitt likes. And Santorum has been a crusader against partial birth abortion and other related evils--and he did it before there was much support.

Look, I'm not going to argue that they're as good as Mitt--if I thought that, I wouldn't be supporting Mitt, right? I think Mitt's clearly better.

But would Newt be a great leader on energy--say, as Secretary of the Interior? Absolutely! In fact, just like Romney and Ryan have the best economic plans, Newt has the best energy plan. And going from Holder to Santorum for AG? Wow!
HCMC Wrote: Apr 09, 2012 3:14 AM

Nope. Romney had it totally different than those two liberal RINOs.

Romney battled the liberals, vetoed 800 of their bills, trained his state troopers to arrest illegal aliens for ICE deportation, while Gingrich voted for amnesty, and Santorum voted against border police and immigration inspectors.

Gingrich and Santorum mostly had Rep-majorities and a simple Yae or Nae vote.

I know Mitt wants unity, but if I really hope he gives NOTHING to those arewipes, and those areswipes disappear sooner rather than later.

Bill, you're right that Santorum and Gingrich have voting records that sometimes went well off track. No argument there.

But they were working in difficult circumstances, trying to forge deals--just like Mitt did when dealing with an 85% Democrat Legislature in Massachusetts.

This is why I don't judge any of them so much on their voting records, but rather on their proposals going forward--on their message.

I believe Mitt has the best message. But Bill, Mitt's message is one of unity. Unlike Obama, he doesn't tell those disagreeing with him to shut up and get in the back seat. Early on in the debates, Mitt was always the first one to say that any of the GOP candidates would be far better than Obama.

Was he wrong? I don't think so.

Panda, these puke-faces here are not GOP, they are anti-Romney liberal losers.

I am not going to play footsies with liberal creeps.

As for Santorum and Gingrich; they should get the hell out, but they won't because they NEVER care about the GOP, and their voting records prove it.

Gingrich has backstabbed more Republicans, and voted with more liberals than I want to even think of.

Santorum has also voted with more liberals, and against the conservative Republicans than I care to think of.

Their records prove this fact.

Neither have ever been loyal to the GOP.

They know they can't win yet stay in and continue to damage the frontrunner while giving the party a bad image.

"Romney really needs to be able to focus his time, efforts, and money on Obama"

I agree! But how are you helping by driving their supporters to not support Romney when he wins the nomination? Look Bill, I too feel they need to get out now, BUT YOU AND I CAN'T AFFECT THAT. We can only affect opinions on this blog--and Mitt needs every supporter he can get this Fall.

By the way, did you also see Newt's statement about being "at peace with Romney?" That just came out, and it shows Newt is close to falling in line behind the nominee. Santorum will be the last holdout, and I think he'll fall in by early May.

But think strategically: Do you want to lash out in anger (which I've done too), or do you want Mitt Romney to be President?
HCMC Wrote: Apr 09, 2012 2:36 AM

Nope. I saw Newt the Fruit today on Fox still attacking Romney over the Etch-A-Sketch liberal taken out of context BS.

And Santorum has caused lots of damage to the GOP with his attacks on Romney and his 15th Century loon strip women if their rights stigma.

Those two areswipes need to go ASAP.

If Romney wasn't going up against an incumbent with a massive war chest and the mainstream media on his side it might be different, but Romney really needs to be able to focus his time, efforts, and money on Obama, not those two selfish losers.

Panda Wrote: Apr 09, 2012 2:30 AM
HC,

I agree that Romney is the best, but let's cut down on attacking the others, okay? We're above that. Mitt has won, and it's time to start uniting behind him--and all those guys will be bringing their best skills and abilities to the table.

Don't get me wrong. I've been part of the grenade-throwing myself. But it's time to stop infighting and start winning. If people want to attack Mitt, let them--they only come off as immature and unrealistic.

The battle till now has been understandable, but it's time to rise above it. Waddya say, fellow Mitt supporter?

Even though he is Mitt Romney's biggest competition at the moment, Rick Santorum trails the former Massachusetts governor in delegate math, national popularity, and campaign cash, leaving a wide berth for Romney's comfort. While both are taking Easter weekend off from campaigning and the next round of primaries aren't for a couple more weeks (April 24th) and are all in the Northeast (Connecticut, Delaware, New York, Rhode Island, and Pennsylvania), an increasing number of voices are chiming in that the time has come for the GOP to unite around a single nominee, and more people are joining the chorus saying...
