I have never written on a site like this before. But I am upset enough about last night, that my new main task is to become an american citizen, so I can vote. Have lived here almost 20 years, from Denmark, my parents died a few years back, and I only stayed a legal resident due to them, since we don't have dual citizenship between Denmark and the US. So last night just made it clear I have to become a citizen and somehow I will.

This is a race we've lost, not a relative.  It's a big one, and it hurts. But we will soldier on, because we must.  We will work together, figure out what went wrong last night and fix it (if we can - sorry for that last note of pessimism).  Let's not cannibalize each other or figurativel slit our wrists.  Government is not our God.

Remember Aldous Huxley: Experience is not what happens to a man.  It is what a man does with what happens to him.

Remember Ronald Reagan: I do not believe in a fate that will fall on us...
