Seems like the Yugo was a government made car . Union thug Obama and his NLRB have convinced me to stay away from union made products. I could maybe buy a Ford." Chevy runs deep" into the tax payers pocket.

The Trabant was also a government made car and like most government made cars behind the iron curtain you paid cash up front for the privilege of getting on a waiting list because the government imposed limits on how many could be built in a single year and the car you got after that long wait was a piece of crap. Most people overpaid for used cars because at least those were available immediately. Even Volkswagen couldn't save the Trabant after they bought out the plant after the fall of the wall. Nothing like central planning to raise the old standard of living, eh?

The Chevy Cruze, which is the same car, right down to the lug nuts as the Chevy Volt- minus, you know, the voltage- is being investigated for engine fires that Reuters says “in many cases completely engulfed the vehicles in flames.”

So, let me be the first to apologize to General Motors.

I’ve been complaining about the negligible environmental benefits of the Volt, of the federal tax subsidies for the Volt and of the $23,000 difference in sticker price between the Cruze and the Volt.

And I’m willing to state here and now: I was wrong.
