"Deep Bench". Right. So tell me, Mona, how did we wind up with yet another loser like RINO Romney? He was so "ELECTABLE", remember? It doesn't matter how many all-stars sit on our bench if the beltway bozos who run this party WON'T LET THEM PLAY!!!! Huckabee would have won in '08 if Rove/Kristol/Coulter/Limbaugh/Prager/Barone/Charen had let him play. This year, we could have at least gone down fighting with Gingrich -- instead we got Romney. So 4 million McCain voters didn't even bother to show up. They were sick of wasting votes on RINO's. Me too. All my future wasted votes will be Libertarian.
Even when the economy is terrible, when the incumbent Democratic president has not been able to demonstrate success on job creation or growth, and even when the standard of living for Americans is declining on his watch, the country will choose a Democrat "who cares about the problems of people like me" over the Republican. That alone is enough to make Republican heads spin for some time.
