Maybe it's time we stop giving Washington our hard-earned dollars in excess so that we can "think" we got a huge tax refund gift every year. After all, politicians never met a dollar they couldn't spend. We keep overpaying taxes by Billions annually, only to see them spent with no collateral to back them up. They're ready for that with their private army that acts without due process, the IRS. They will hunt down even thousands of individuals that would dare to flout their ability to tax, focussing on that rather than that they are only allowed to spend the seized funds on things Constitutional. It would only work if the state nullifies AND intercedes to serve as a buffer, allowing citizens to pay to a state-run escrow account and forwarding only the percent that the state recognizes as being for Constitutional purposes and at the same time protecting state residents from the federal fury.
