I never said they were citizens. THIS is the core of what the GOP needs to change: the way they advertise their regard for others. Sure, they are fast at work right now trying to reformulate their language and rhetoric, but their behavior and public display reduces people to statistical numbers or problems that need to be eradicated. There is a reason why people are attracted to the Dems: their rhetoric appeals to their humanity. What narratives attract you? Those that ostracize you as an undesirable problem, or one that acknowledges that you live, have a job, and a family. The GOP's tone and behavior is deeply threatening to people. President Obama has wrapped up his $1.6 million campaign event immigration reform speech in Las Vegas, Nevada.

"Now is the time for common sense, comprehensive immigration reform," Obama said.

Piggybacking off of a bipartisan immigration reform plan presented by eight Senators yesterday, Obama called on Congress to quickly come up with legislation.

"We can't allow immigration reform to get bogged down in endless debate," Obama said. "For the first time in years, Republicans and Democrats seem ready to attack this problem together."
