This country will be a much better place, with a more vibrant economy, even in the face of crushing Obama-caused regulation, once every state goes the way of Michigan and strips the unions of power. Everything good and useful that unions have ever done is enshrined in law - 40-hour work week, time-and-a-half overtime, occupational safety, minimum wage, etc. Everything else is union greed, designed not to help workers, but to fatten union roles and maintain their dues income.

We had a proposition re: union dues on our state ballot (CA). Had it passed, no more dues pulled from paychecks. The unions came down heavily against it, and it didn't pass.

The violence used by the unions is incredible. How many of them will be getting a pass for it?
Not so many moons ago, President Obama urged us all to "make sure that we are talking with each other in a way that heals, not a way that wounds." He Who Heals advocated "a more civil and honest public discourse" in the wake of the January 2011 Tucson massacre. As usual, though, the White House has granted Big Labor bullies a permanent waiver from the lofty edicts it issues to everyone else.
