Good explanation of insurance. Insurance is a protection, purchased BEFORE that protection is needed, at a fraction of the cost of the catastrophe which is being insured against. It should be obvious that insurance is not, and cannot be, a protection which can be purchased when or after it is needed. Somehow, however, this obvious point has been lost in the national "health reform" issue.

GLOSSARY OF OTHER MISLEADING TERMS IN THE NATIONAL HEALTH CARE DEBATE:
