Okay. What's the point? Sounding the alarm or suggesting these things be stopped? Keep saving them from themselves and they'll NEVER learn. This was predictable from the beginning. Jamie Gorelick was the first clue, when they put her in charge of Sally Mae after moving it to executive branch and signed the Student Lending and Fiscal Responsibility Act. Does anyone know who Jamie Gorelick, a.k.a. "the Mistress of Disaster" is? She's played two key roles in major, massive disasters since she came onto the political scene as Deputy AG under Clinton, w/ "Instructions of Separations of Certain Counterintelligence and Criminal Investigations" memo (think 9/11) & Vice Chairman of Fannie Mae, pocketing $26M. "Young voters" get what they deserve.

Any student who voted for President Obama--in either 2008 or 2012--in order to cut their college costs was sold a bill of goods. In Obama’s first four years, national tuition prices rose 25 percent and average graduating loan debt rose 16 percent.

Now, the Obama-signed sequester (aka “fiscal cliff”) includes an 8.2 percent cut in non-Pell student aid, an across-the-board cut of more than $140 million. Student loan origination fees will also go up $91 million.
