"Lance85 Wrote: 2 minutes ago (9:25 AM)...No Hal, they are sitting on trillions in assets because to take a risk in this environment is simply not prudent...." What return are they getting on those trillions? I rest my case "... It is a direct defense against things like Obamacare, more EPA regulations, and more onerous taxes...." Having worked on both sides one of the greatest handicaps to US businesses is healthcare. Obamacare contains this cost. EPA regulations are no where near onerous UNLESS you think taxpayers clean up pollution caused by companies or pay part of their workers wages because they don't pay enough - think food stamps and Medicaid

"Lance85 Wrote: 1 minute ago (9:09 AM)...Hal, the creators are not going to invest in uncertain markets..." Sure they are. The higher the risk, the higher the reward. Look at Apple. "... You can couch it however you want, but smart investors and smart corporations will protect their assets rather ...are doing so because of the Administration's policies. " No, actually the smart investor would be creating opportunities. Facts appear to be that US corporations are so risk adverse that they won't move without government guarantees. Meanwhile the rest of the world watches the US marketplace decay. The regulations that many businesses oppose require that they rather than citizens and taxpayers clean up their physical and social pollution.

"Lance85 Wrote: 2 minutes ago (9:04 AM)...Thank a free market system for that Hal. Equality of opportunity doesn't equal equality of outcome. " That was not the founders' view. Slavery is antithetical to a free market. By the way, have you noted the concentration of market share here in the US. You want free markets (I do) then you best have a strong government to regulate and keep a level playing field.

"RepubRob Wrote: 26 minutes ago (8:13 AM)...I have no idea what your economic circumstances are, so if you are in the one percent, then please accept my advance apologies. But if you are not, then you most certainly benefit from the "elfish" one percent, who created, in some direct or indirect way, the job you have (and I am presuming you have one, here). ..." Self employed, semi retired and quite comfortable thank you but no longer in the 1% Enjoyed my time there and had a great time but I don't miss the hours. My no they don't comment is based upon the fact that throughout this great recession the 'job creators' didn't. They can't without demand

I am not involved in Holder's case so do not know reality but as long as Bush the tortures' similar case is pursued have at it. The American terrorist joined Al Q who Congress directed be destroyed and was slain on a field of battle. A legal and legit casualty of war. Now Congress can direct it end.... No about Bush ordering the torture of helpless prisoners - bring this blot on the US to trail and justice first
