We have been fighting against progressiveness for years even before Obama but until we rid ourselves of the backstabbers that claim to be on our side we dont have a chance to turn the tide

Cruz and Mike Lee represent keeping the Federal government constrained within the bounds of their constitutional authority which at this point they far exceed is that what you call far right?

Seems to me what Cruz really did was force the large government spend spend spend group out of the closet and make them vote on the record about giving the President a blank check. Sure after they voted for closure they voted against it but thats just theater to me RINO's are more of a problem than the socialist (democratic) party because they fly a false flag. So people use actual voting record to determine who you want to represent you not just a party label

Had Obamacare not been an unmitigated disaster? You think this was a surprise? 2400 pages of unconstitutional BS and Cruz was wrong to do everything he could to try and stop it? Just wait until all the ramifications are realized you wont recognize your country. I do suppose ignorance is bliss.

The Republicans have had chances to make a difference what were there two greatest accomplishments the last time they had control? No child left behind and Medicare D prescription drug coverage. Gee does that sound like smaller less expensive government to you? BTW neither of these are constitutionally defined if you can find that in the enumerated powers I'd like to know it.

Second time ever I disagree with Dr Sowell IMHO Cruz is one of the few bright spots in politics someone with gumption grit whatever you want to call it. The republicans got blamed for the shutdown because of the likes of McConnel and Bohner not standing up with Cruz etc. The fact that Obama closed down war memorial to veterans was a golden opportunity to place the blame where it belonged. We want real change not a political parties Pyrrhic victory.
